Correl2ations ?*(?)#!?

"As a neophyte to MBTI (I've read 2 books and had it years ago in a lecture in psychology class) and an enneagram enthusiast, I am interested in how the 2 systems correlate. Now, there is much technical jargon and data in these pages, but quite simply it seems that the 2 are measuring different aspects of consciousness. While there are certain consistent overlaps (ie type 5 is almost always Introverted Thinker) I don't see how the 2 can be rectified as the same.

Are there any basic introductory books, charts, tapes, atc. to help me get a grasp on your integration theories? I've ordered Wagner's tape series on the enneagram and MBTI ("Two Windows On The Self") as a start.

Thanks for your help,

Dave

COLO R

"... by the way, do you know of any attempts to connect specific Enneagram types or MBTI types to particular colors or color schemes?"

Diversity Diversity

"Thanks for your email on Saturday. Maybe we can start a 'Diversity and the Enneagram' conversation at this web site - one that will reach IEA readers ..."

WALTER

"... We also want to encourage those who are not primarily interested in debate, theory, or empirical studies, to participate. Many amongst us would choose to approach the interface between the Enneagram and the MBTI as an opportunity for bridge-building and relationship. Conversations of this kind are particularly encouraged, as our ultimate goal is to provide an environment in which a creative 'learning community' can be built around this topic."
